Ingredients:
4 5-6 oz. tilapia fillets
kosher salt, to taste
1 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
grated zest from 1 lemon
grated zest from 1 lime
juice from 2 small lemons (about 4 tbsp.)
juice from 1 lime (about 2 tbsp.)
3 tbsp. chopped fresh basil
Directions:
- Sprinkle the fillets on both sides with salt. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until it's hot, but not smoking. Add the tilapia to the pan and cook until the fish is opaque, about 3 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
- Wipe out the skillet and prepare the citrus-garlic sauce. Over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook, stirring until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the lemon and lime zest and juice and a pinch of salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the basil and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
- Arrange the fillets on individual plates or a platter. Pour the sauce over the fillets and serve. Delish!
